Job Title: Stock Controller / Admin Clerk

Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire

Salary: £26,520 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

About the Role:

Our client, a reputable company in the Logistics Industry, is seeking a diligent and organized Stock Controller / Admin Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, managing the flow of goods in and out, and providing exceptional administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Goods In & Out Management: Oversee and control the receiving and dispatching of goods in the warehouse using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Ensure accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Inventory Control: Regularly update stock levels and ensure accurate data entry in the WMS. Perform periodic stock checks and audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Answer phone calls and handle customer bookings, inquiries, and complaints professionally and efficiently. Provide timely updates to customers regarding their orders and deliveries.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records.
  • Communication: Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues related to stock and deliveries.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all stock control procedures comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a stock control or warehouse admin role is essential. Experience with WMS systems is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • IT Proficiency: Competent in using WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently as required.
