Job Description - Production Operator/Manufacturing

THOMAS Recruitment Group is looking for a Production Associate to join our team in Abergavenny. The Production Associate will work closely with the Production Manager and other production staff to assist in the assembly of all types of products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for manufacturing and be able to work independently or with a team.

Hours of Work

2 shift rota

Days - Monday - Wednesday - 6am - 6pm, Thursday 6am - 2pm (44 hours)

Nights - Monday - Wednesday - 6pm - 6am (36 hours)

Duties and Responsibilities

To produce high quality products, ensuring that you are complying with the HSE Standards, wearing the correct PPE equipment when required. Operating machines, supporting the development of the product and inspecting the product against set quality / customer standards.

• Operating presses - mould / inmould machines
• Inspecting the product to set quality / customer standards.
• Ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy (in accordance with set H&S guidelines).
• Raise any quality issues / concerns with team members / supervisor, continuously striving for continuous Improvement.
• Ensure that H&S regulations are being abided i.e. correct PPE equipment is being worn.
• To maintain housekeeping at a high standard at all times.
• Redeployment to other areas of the business when required.
• Follow standard operating procedures - ensuring that the highest quality products are being produced.
