Role Overview: We are seeking dedicated and reliable Production Operatives to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role requires strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including hygiene and lead monitoring procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets

Person Specification:

  • Physically fit and comfortable with standing for long periods
  • Must be clean-shaven for mask fit testing unless issued an overhead mask
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a factory setting
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new processes

Why Join Us?

  • 4-weekly pay (13 pay periods per year)
  • 24 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (11 floating days after company shutdowns)
  • Pension & Life Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Sports & Social Club
  • Full uniform & PPE provided

Key Requirements:

  • Must be clean-shaven for a mask fit test (small goatee allowed only if issued an overhead mask)
  • Regular blood tests to monitor lead levels
  • Strict handwashing procedure when leaving the factory floor
  • Compulsory shower at the end of each shift (uniform provided, own clothes worn to/from site)
  • Must have reliable transport to get to site for all shift times

Additional Information:

  • Please be mindful of the distance from site, as there is a double-back shift (finishing at 22:00 on Wednesday and back in for 05:50 on Thursday) once every 2-3 weeks, depending on the shift pattern. We recommended you live no further than a 30-minute drive.
  • Candidates must be able to get to the site for shifts. There is limited public transport, so limited as to be non-existent.

Shifts:

  • Days: 05:50-14:00
  • Afternoons: 13:50-22:00
  • Nights: 21:50-06:00
  • Days and afternoons currently have an early finish on a Friday.

The shift pattern cannot be chosen, as it will be specific to the process and team the candidate is placed with.
