Production Operator - Finishing Department

Pay Rate:

  • £11.44 per hour 

Shifts:

  • 5 days out of 7 – Monday to Sunday
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Day Shift and Night Shift – Must be fully flexible 
  • Temp to Perm after 12 weeks

 

What will you be doing?

The key objective of the Production Operator role is to ensure that production is in line with schedule and produced in a safe and efficient manner

 

Job Functions include

  • Ensuring that all work undertaken is carried out in a safe and proper manner
  • Ensuring that safety checks are carried out at the beginning of each shift
  • Ensuring that the order is set up correctly at the beginning of every shift and at the start of every new order
  • Managing your machine to produce products of the correct quality at an acceptable level of output
  • Ensuring that all written documentation is updated with the correct legible information at the specified frequencies
  • Recording production data on the electronic data capture system
  • Taking appropriate action to troubleshoot and/or highlight problems when necessary
  • Conducting quality checks at the specified frequencies
  • Assisting maintenance when required
  • Identifying and recommending areas for improvement
  • Participating in improvement projects
  • Ensure that safe working practices are always adhered to, including wearing PPE as appropriate.
  • Acquire knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, work instructions, and associated documentation.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety Policies and instructions and actively contribute to Company efforts to promote safe behaviour and safe systems of work
  • Maximising productivity by assisting with machine set-ups and minimising machine downtime by assisting with roll changes, break cover, batch close out, etc
  • Ensuring quality specifications are adhered to in relation to the manufacturing of each

 

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing: 1 Year (preferred)
