Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook for one of our clients based in Carmarthen. This role is essential in ensuring the residents receive nutritious and delicious meals daily. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to the menu and dietary specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including HACCP.
• Manage food stock levels, order supplies, and ensure minimal waste.
• Collaborate with colleagues to cater to residents' specific dietary needs.
• Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements or new dishes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cook.
• Food Hygiene Level 1 certification is mandatory.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in working with elderly residents.
