Since joining THOMAS and the world of recruitment my role has grown and developed into a very exciting and fascinating role. As Group Support Manager my role is to do just that, support the team and the company in specific areas of the business – Compliance, HR & Talent.

Compliance is something I’m very passionate about, and ensuring our company standard of 100% is achieved consistently. This provides a clear USP for working with THOMAS but also complete peace of mind and Brand Protection for our clients.

Our candidate files are audited every week in preparation for payroll. I audit our candidate files for each operation every month to ensure we are maintaining our high standards of operating. On a few occasions, we have received planned and unplanned audits from GLAA, BEIS, and our clients – all of which we’ve passed with flying colours.

I also create and deliver regular workshops on Compliance and Stronger Together discussing Modern Day Slavery with everyone within the company. This allows us to ensure these topics and practices remain of utmost importance in our day-to-day work. The team has been very complimentary of these workshops which is something I’m really proud of.

With over 26 years of experience managing people, it’s no surprise that I am also responsible for ‘All things People’ too. I have created a comforting and confidential space for our team to discuss their journey and development whilst scheduling regular ‘catch-ups’ with everyone in the business throughout their career. Supporting the team and individuals at THOMAS is something I really love.

I utilise my knowledge and experience to advise the company on the best practices and changes in the marketplace, allowing us to be completely agile in changing how we operate for the better and creating the best possible culture for our team. Having a bespoke Human Resources plan ensures we are always keeping the people at the heart of everything we do.
